This piece required a lot of research, prototyping, and searching for a very competent lapidary. I was buying huge crystals of Smoky Himalayan Quartz, and had little room for error. After several months of tests, I ended with this 7-piece setting and custom cut spike. I also took the product photography, and the matte black background you see here.
